Welcome to My Class!


Hello, my name is Mrs. Zapata-Zamora (Mrs. Z.Z.) and I am thrilled to be your child's third grade teacher. I have been teaching for twenty plus years, seventeen of which have been here at Ben Franklin Elementary. I taught second grade for twelve years, which I really enjoyed, and then moved up to to teach third grade and I love it! I think third graders are "not too big and not too little, they are just right!!!" I am very excited to teach my new third grade class of "superstars." I know we will have an amazing year full of learning and fun together!!!

I graduated college from Cal State San Bernardino where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies, a bilingual multiple subjects teaching credential, and a Master's Degree in Education.

In 1993, I married my high school sweetheart, Joe. I can't believe we will be married twenty-three years already this October. He really is a great guy and is such a good sport when it comes to dealing with me and my addiction to shoes. We are so lucky to have two awesome boys together, Gabriel and Elijah. Gabe just turned seventeen and Eli is just about to turn five. We usually spend our weekends on a baseball field having fun and watching our boys play baseball. I am very blessed to have such a wonderful and supportive family!!!
